He was the last portfolio manager hired and supervised by Julian Robertson at Tiger Management, and serves on the board of the Stanford Research Initiative on Long-Term Investing.

Dr. Ashby Monk is Vice Chairman of Philip Equities, where he works across the firm's institutional research program, technology initiatives, and governance standards. He is Executive and Research Director of the Stanford Research Initiative on Long-Term Investing, holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford, and has spent more than 20 years advising governments and long-term investors on governance and organizational design.
